Dude this game goes on sale literally every week. Almost every week i see the blatant attempt of a videogame making a blatant attempt to break even in profits. Almost every week steam points this one right in my face from the store page...

-Literally dead playerbase barely breaking 4k players at peak (steamcharts)

-complete disaster of a marketing aimed only to grab more cash (from the "creators" of l4d) by pulling fans nostalgia strings resulting in a game being laughed at by actual l4d fans since this one does everything worse. no soul, no technical stability, qustionable desing decisions, lazy presentation.

-straight up terrible dev track record. remember evolve? that game that flopped? remember l4d? (oh wait. valve did that, check crowbcat's and vadim m's videos), what else? CS: S. bruh. As if it was hard to do, just to make a cs on a source engine. but every cs player knows that was a bad attempt as well...

-there are dosens of better games and there are exactly two better games of that genre called left 4 dead and left 4 dead 2. Try those instead.

-speaking of track record: WB as a punlisher - nuff said, AND TRS recently aquired by Tencent. Do i really need to explain why this is bad? Not only you give your money to a disaster of a dev for a disaster of a dev but some part of it will finance the questionable chinese organisation.

-terrible reviews for a reason... many about a price being too high... and guess what, not even a campaign versus. and don't think that if it's on sale - you are winning, you are stuck with boring VS, devs said they won't make a proper one...

Save. Your. Money. DON'T BUY IT. I will gladly explain why you shouldn't if you as me, provide more reasons, point out some alternatives, and the choice is yours but i ask you to seriousky consider to stay away from this pile of... stuff...

I play on ms store. Fast queues and the game is actually pretty good. Updates helped balance. OP is wrong here.

I made the mistake of preordering it!
Its a challenging game but does not come close to what left 4 dead 1 and 2 gave us, the game feels like an empty shell but had potential. like cyberpunk its an epic fail :( for me.

Also the players cant even handle the second difficulty witch is sad and there is almost no teamwork whatso ever. the classes need to be balanced like someone is medic, a shotgunner, sniper and support/looter

meh. the card system kept me more interested in playing this than L4D. I just like the idea of running with a team that can fulfill different roles. I enjoy this more because you just can't hop in and faceroll your keyboard to win. The continue system teaches you to not make mistakes and generally be a ♥♥♥♥ up. It's not a perfect game and it certainly has undeniable flaws, but a lot of what turns some off to this game just made me like it more.

Imagine being so deeply personally invested in whether a game you disapprove of is successful or not, and being so lacking in self awareness as to have any shame for holding such a position.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. These people aren't the kind of self appointed gaming watchdogs they act like they are, trying to save innocent people from a mistake.

They are incredibly upset that the game isn't the 100% flop failure that they feel it needs to be. The fact that it has any success at all destroys them, because they are insecure and require validation for their opinion.

Trying the game is literally risk free, between trying it on gamepass for a dollar, and Steam's refund policy. If it's as bad as you say it is they will figure that out for themselves and refund it, without any need of your warning.

I have a feeling there is some weird matchmaking process where steam users are getting shafted.

Because it seems queue times are all over the place.

Most certainly they're not ALL on steam, but queue times seem to indicate a rather low playerbase depending on time of day or just luck. I have no idea if matchmaking is messing me up or not but, it's not a good indicator. (I play on Xbox game pass.)

if people can make constant hate posts then people can defend it, street goes both ways. At the end of the day one's opinion is their own, not sure why there is this need to convince strangers one way or the other.
