Intel just said this on their CES stream reveal, no concrete date provided. there is a Steam page live with it now, but we don't have details on how it works.

try not to go and panic over the prospect of having to fully purchase the game again, yet. details will surface soon, anything else is just speculation. we'll *likely* have a DLC path that hasn't populated yet.

What makes you think they're going to add a DLC option? I find that very unlikely, especially considering they've already listed the DC as a separate title.

because it wasnt a strictly separate option on console. also because no concrete details exist, so there's just as much reason to speculate that there is an upgrade path as there is reason to speculate it's a separate purchase.

steam already has existing functionality for a dev to offer price discounts for a product if one already owns another product within their library, as defined by whomever manages the product listing. it can easily be sold as a "bundle" where the only price paid is whatever nominal upgrade "fee" they choose.

there have been remasters for games released where they also provide the original as a freebie.

and finally, partially because going straight to "WAAAAAAH I HAVE TO BUY IT IN FULL AGAIN" before having any clue is just being deliberately negative for the sake of it.

but i understand some people need and like to do that because it feels good to them to find problems before they *might* exist.

That would be seriously awful if they went that route after allowing the $10 upgrade for playstation users, but I agree that until we know for sure we shouldn't jump to any conclusions.

exactly. there's still quite a bit of time to see options and as i said above to the panic attack above, there's multiple ways to go about this on steam for people who already purchased the first edition.
