REMOVE DENUVO,make GOG version
sorry, dev's but this laggy crap named Denuvo is the ONLY THING that keeps many from playing this game.
Optimization has to be a top priority for the FPS games like this. if it's as laggy as sh*t as it is now, people will rightfully call your game they way it deserves, but if your game is really good enought, people will buy it anyway simply for the sake of paying respect to you. but the use of denuvo doesn't bring you any respect from gamers community.. shame on you, silly company, you're just ruining experience of many because of your dumb greed...

Laicus replied to REMOVE DENUVO,make GOG version February 11, 2022 @ 6:12:06 am PSTAnother beggar. It's wonderful! So the game is still not cracked! Hurray! I hope the nasty freeloaders never get it. I don't know what the reason is that the game has not been cracked yet, but I hope the same or even more reliable protection will be in all Arkane games.

People shouldn't constantly be forced to buy overly expensive hardware just in order to fullfill the greed of some companies where they could have had just a normal game experience otherwise. It's not a matter of a particular game's price, its a matter of optimization. If you are reasonable, I doubt you'd be happy to know that your PC had to run tons of additional ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DRM "malware" just for the sake of themselves without any way to turn it off. Especially when there's a clear way to optimize that.
I personally feel let down by devs cause I used to love Dishonored so much. Dishonored 1 ran so smoothly and was perfectly optimized, but since the release of Dishonored 2 all that Denuvo crap started. Performance of the game has fallen catastrophically. And the same situation now happens with Deathloop. it's just a shame, I can't name it otherwise.

Laicus replied to REMOVE DENUVO,make GOG version February 11, 2022 @ 9:28:40 am PSTThis is complete bull$hit. I'm playing on a mobile GTX 1650 Ti, the game works fine. While there is piracy, games should be protected, DEATHLOOP has not cracked yet, and I am happy for Arkane, and I enjoy their wonderful game without experiencing any performance problems. Now this is the best solution to the problem of piracy, and such protection should be in all games. Mister Breaker replied to REMOVE DENUVO,make GOG version February 11, 2022 @ 11:51:45 am PSTDRM should never harm the legitimate consumer, yet it always does. From SecuROM to Denuvo, legitimate customers get an inferior product while pirates, maybe not right away, end up with the better package. Denuvo to be fair has a minimal impact to performance but it is there. This is complete bull$hit. I'm playing on a mobile GTX 1650 Ti, the game works fine. Deathloop's real problem is lack of proper optimization. Plus the EU commissioned a report on piracy some years ago and it found piracy doesn't hurt overall sales when in fact, the opposite was true. Denuvo puts off pirates and some legit customers, meaning less overall people will be playing and lets be honest, Arkane's games never sell too well. Deathloop has a lot less people playing and the game seems to be abandoned. Denuvo is just a fat money sink that has no benefit. In this internet age, pirates can and will wait for cracks as there are many, many more games to play.

Laicus replied to REMOVE DENUVO,make GOG version February 11, 2022 @ 12:24:44 pm PSTYou are missing the main thing, piracy needs to be completely destroyed, any methods are good for this. Protection does not cause any harm, it is part of the product that you buy, so it is normal that while the game is running, protection consumes computer resources. Piracy is evil, DRM is the fight against evil. You offer to put up with evil, it's wrong. DRM should never harm the legitimate consumer, yet it always does. From SecuROM to Denuvo, legitimate customers get an inferior product while pirates, maybe not right away, end up with the better package.
