Maybe in endless and some big sp maps friends are good. But i do not see coop interesting in single player maps. This tension, spookyness from certain moments will be lost.
On the other hand, enjoying dusk world while dusk world community is rather small, with bots will be truly awesome.

Single player awesomeness of quake1 + multiplayer awesomeness of quake 3 = perfect dusk game

hey i bought dusk in general for co op loved playing postal co op and duke nukem co op so why not dusk?????????????

Doom and Duke Nukem 3D had coops, why not DUSK?

Maybe I should be more specific; I'm wondering where co-op is on your list of priorities. I know you released a mac update for some reason, then you have further plans for Duskworld, the SDK etc.

I would like to know on that timeline of tasks you are planning to complete, is co-op a primary focus, or is it not a priority right now?

Since Linux / Mac builds are out the door, GOG is going to be our new focus. After that, SDK and co-op.

I can't imagine GOG would take super long so that's promising. So to clarify; are you working on the SDK first or both at once?

GOG is going to require a major overhaul for Dusk World since we currently rely on Steamworks. Not as simple as throwing it on another store and calling it good.
The SDK and co-op will likely be in a similar time frame from each other but cant say it will be at the same time. Thats a whole different set of challenges that we cant offer up more info than we already have about yet.

Oh right, I didn't even consider that. It's a good move if Steam ever unexpectedly died. (However far off that may be) It's nice to think that like many older shooters before DRM really became a thing, people many years after their prime can launch them up and not only play them, but also study their pro's and con's for educational purposes.

That's cool, I have great anticipation for both of those things, but they always seem to take forever no matter the game.
