Steam achievements are disabled because the core game files are "altered" (and need to be redownloaded from Steam) at any time the keyboard bindings are reset.

I have rebound my keys and then find I don't get steam achievements because of this.

Is there any way to resolve this?

Bug confirmation:

Download / fresh install Dusk. Then rebind your keys . Any keys. Save. Aim to get any achievement. Achievement will not be got. (eg. kill with spinning weapon)

Download / fresh install of Dusk (right click on Dusk --> local files --> verify installation; 1 file will be redownloaded. Then try getting any achievement without changing any key bindings. (eg. kill with spinning weapon). Achievement is gained.

Steam achievements have nothing to do with the verification of local files. They are not disabled when they are altered. This could be a bug specific to the spin to win achievement, and I will investigate that possibility. But all of the others are fine, and will work regardless of keybinding.

Thanks for the swift reply. I am not sure what else it can be -- as I say; the only thing that changes is the key bindings and then no steam achievements unlock (I've managed to complete all episodes but I don't have the episode 1 unlock and played all the way through.

Ok. I have just now done some Endless mode in the game. I reached level 7 on Endless mode with custom key bindings and a custom input settings (no changing weapons on pickup).

I received no Steam achievement.

I downloaded and verified the steam install (again; 1 file different) and reloaded the game. I did not change the input or key bindings from default. I ran Endless and got to level 7 again (all exactly the same) and I got the achievement.

The only difference was the key-bindings and the Input settings (weapons swap on pickup). Nothing else changed.

I can quite understand Steam not giving out achievements for if game files don't compare (they do this on loads of games), but maybe from this comparison check, settings files (ini?) should/could be exempt?

If this is really a bug, it's one that was introduced fairly recently. I got all achievements with... somewhat unique control bindings.
