Dialogue

Could someone tell me how dialogue is in this game? I want to pull the trigger on this game but I fear it will stay in my library unfinished like many others. Is the dialogue generic or at least somewhat interesting?

Please, no spoilers.

It's pretty tedious for me tbh
The start of the game is very slow and there's zero tension or sense of anything building up
It also doesn't do a very good job of explaining important moves that you need to progress

Dialogue imo is pretty funny. Not always informative, but interesting.

Thanks for the responses. I read from one review that it had a lot of text, which is fine by me. I also don't mind lack of indications, I kind of prefer games letting me figure things out. I was more worried about the dialogue being generic and boring, but funny and interesting will do.

Again, thanks!

I am quite bored with the writing and most videogame writing, yes. There is a lot of inconsequential slice-of-life talking . I last played 3 days ago and I'm not in a hurry to come back to it.

It's definitely on the long side, but the dialogue is actually not that bad overall.

You're going to find out what I mean when you actually have to leave the first area. You're not going to have any idea what to do because the game didn't give you any reason to remember you could do something or that it was important (aside from an irritating mini-game that ALSO doesn't remind you). Also, you won't be able to do it with just a controller (on PC) because you can only control the trajectory of things without bugs if you use a mouse.
