I don't mean the first issues directly after launch, I mean for example that if I go left and starting to move the camera also to the left, there is a short drag to the right... No other game I know does this. Even the Demon Souls Remake on PS5 has a much better camera. I think the camera (centering) algorithms in this game are(were?) substantially broken.

As far as i'm aware no changes have or likely will be made to the camera controls.
I think it works fine personally.

Did you tried to move the stick to the left slightly when going also to the left? There is a short section of the analog stick which you have to fight against which drags the camera to the right. You always need to move the stick almost completely to the end to move the camera where you want the camera to go. Hard to describe, sry.

But you don't mean the "camera auto centering" which can be "disabled"? Because this one I know already.
I mean when camera centering is disabled and you start moving the right stick slightly while moving the character, it was like the default camera centering kicks in again. Like they only disable/suppress it while you not moving the camera. But as soon you start moving the camera the default centering kicks in and you have to fight it with stronger right stick movement.
That is not the case anymore?

It is subtle but as soon as I recognized it was very annoying all along.

I quit the game because of the camera. It's fundamentally broken in multiple ways. Fanbois won't ever acknowledge that though.
