I've just started playing the game during 2021 and It was working perfectly on Ultra graphics, I got quite busy and I guess I missed a whole season or so
When I returned to play It, There was a major update (The one that required to link Epic account I guess)
After this the game has always been very slow especially during startup and during every time the screen is crowded with the Guys 😨
I tried to the lowest quality settings, installing latest versions of VC++ and updating the graphics card drivers but nothing worked 😭
What can I do to restore the game to its original state ?

Stopped at season 4 and now is just unplayable. My system has a few years but I can run games like Far Cry 5, ACC, RF2, IL-2S (max/medium) with no problem at all.

System:
- Win10 Pro 64bits legit
- i5 4590
- 32gb 1600 RAM
- GTX 1650 Super

Tried so far:
- GPU Drivers update
- CPU firmware update
- Low resolution
- Disable full screen optimizations
- Run as admin
- VC++ update
- High priority process
- Changed SSD
- meh

Sorry, but this is the new Fallguys, thanks to Epic Games. Low fps, crashes, missing files, bad server connection, etc.

This is not normal, previously I could run this game max settings, very smoothly and even via steamlink to my smarttv and now is just unplayable. There must be some technical solution for this...

A friend has this problem of low fps, i dont know if i have it because i uninstalled the game with the last patch because i dont want to create an Epic Games account, link it to my Steam account, install the Epic Games launcher and give them administrator stuff. We played the game perfectly before, now he is raging all the time for the low fps and the server inestability. He even reinstalled the game but still the same, and its too late for us to ask a refund.

I've tried this, it works for me, I had the same problem, even if this thread is "old" maybe i'll help :
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you can tweak your settings to improve performance :

Right-Click on your desktop and open the NVIDIA Control Panel
Click Manage 3D settings.
Select Program Settings and find Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout on the list.
Set Preferred refresh rate to “Highest available”.
Set Maximum pre-rendered frames to 1.
Set Threaded optimization to ON.
Set Power Management Mode to “Prefer maximum performance”.
Set Vertical sync to OFF.
Click Apply and close the control panel.

I left this game after complete season 5 and than when i returned to season 6 to my surprise.....the damn epic store crap appeared, if that was not already a unwanted extra step, wtf they did with the game servers, the game lags the whole time and often becames totally unplayable.

I got 1gbps connection, tested before and after and its working like a charm, so WTF EGS !!!! its a fight against other players plus a fight against the lag. Lag Guys: Try to stay connected to the game

Also, been trying to solve this with the game's support but so far nothing worked. I really don't understand how is this possible. I mean, if all my other games suffer the same, ok my problem, but no. I even have VR games like Half Life Alyx that I can play with no issues.

If I have any news about this I'll keep you guys posted.

same happened with rocket league for me when it "became epic".
cant play it without huge lagg since then.
maybe it has really something to do with the switch to epic games.
