I see there was a change made just before release to improve drop rates on summons like goblin and I confirmed the bestiary says goblin drops it... but I been grinding for an hour now and nothing. If it's bugged I'd like to know sooner rather than later :D

0.4% chance. It will take hours, assuming avg drop rate. I don't know how much they buffed the dropped rate with the update but 0.4% is what the droprate for that has always been IIRC. And that's assuming it's the 4 goblin group you get when you use a siren on mist cave. If the group is mixed (ie only has 1 goblin in it) the chance is even lower.

wait for a trainer or something with 100% drop rate.. seriously, it's not even worth the time... there will be one out in like 3 or 4 days.

Well two hours in and after hundreds of dead goblins and helldivers not a single summon. If it’s a rare drop that’s fine but I’m worried it’s bugged. Never had this much trouble in the other versions.

I spent hours upon hours grinding for all of the rare summons in the SNES version and I don't think I ever found Imp (Goblin).

Just got Goblin. From literally the first goblin encounter after picking up Rydia. This is most likely a coincidence but in case it’s not… maybe there’s a requirement to have her in the party now?

drop rate increased so I assume it's not 0.4% anymore but higher maybe 1 or 2 %

but rememebr that also have 50% chance of an item drop ( the yes and no question )

cockaterice is still higher though

I just got Cockatrice to drop a moment ago, still just have Cecil and Kain as my party.

58 minutes into the game and i got goblin. Next: cockatrice.

i got lvl 30 on girl rydia and still no goblin. going to wait for final party now till i farm this.

I got Goblin to drop in the first ten minutes. Have been farming Cockatrice for an hour and no luck yet.

Don't need to wait for the final party, just need to wait until you've gotten Edge on your team. Characters that are not in your party will continue to gain xp as long as they have been in your party at some point.

The odds are so low, it's my opinion that the original devs never intended someone to intentionally try and get them to drop. They were meant as more as a pleasant surprise if you just happened to get lucky enough.

I was farming Goblin outside near Baron and after about 1.5 hours I got Cockatrice. Still haven't gotten Goblin 2.5 hours later just fighting goblins in mist cave. I was starting to wonder if it even exists LOL

EDIT: Just got it finally.

i got goblin 13 minutes in....there's a screenshot on my profile with the time played visible.

I got the drop literally my second encounter in the game so it definitely exists.
