Forza Community Standards
Welcome to the Forza Community Hub on Steam! Here we pair Forza's genre-defining game experiences with an entertaining, accessible, and inclusive global community that everyone wants to be part of. Consider these standards a roadmap for contributing to this incredible, globe-spanning community.
More detail on the points here can be found in the Microsoft Services Agreement[www.microsoft.com] and Community Standards for Xbox[www.xbox.com]. For information on in-game standards see the Forza Support Enforcement Guidelines[support.forzamotorsport.net]. For platform general guidelines and rules for Steam check the Rules and Guidelines For Steam: Discussions, Reviews, and User Generated Content.
Just like Xbox the spirit of Forza lives in our values, which are key to sustaining a vibrant and welcoming community. Living these values every time we play, post and interact shows the world the unifying power of gaming.
- Gaming can be enjoyed by all
- Creativity powers community
- Competition is best when it’s fair
- Helping others makes all of us stronger
- Hate has no place here
Some parts of the internet don’t have rules—and the Forza community isn’t one of them. You deserve a place to be yourself with confidence, free from bullying, hatred, and harassment—and so does every other player. So it’s important to treat others as they would like to be treated.
Remember:
- Be supportive
- Did someone help you out? Let them know!
- It’s okay to express frustration, but keep it clean
- No one likes trolling, so don’t do it
- Not everyone has the same likes or dislikes as you, think twice about saying something hurtful about someone else’s content, playing style, or choices
- If you experience or witness inappropriate content or behavior, we encourage you to (if applicable by platform) to mute, block, and report the users(s) acting inappropriately
The gamertags, profile pics, statuses, reviews, screenshots, game clips, and other posts you make can be a great way to answer questions, solve problems and show off what’s meaningful to you. We encourage all players to be themselves and show off what they like, what makes them laugh, or what makes them amazing. But this sharing can’t come at the expense of other players’ positive experiences.
Remember:
- Don't post content that could be seen as offensive
- People of all ages come here, so don't post content with mature themes
- We have a Support Site[support.forzamotorsport.net] but it is also ok to seek help here. If you are hoping to receive support you will get a better answer faster if you are specific, so post details and specs
- Never share personal information like your age, phone number or address
Content and behavior that puts players at risk or makes them feel unwelcome has no place here. So, sometimes we need to step in. We're not out to punish, but rather to protect everyone's experience. When suspensions end, we welcome players back so they can contribute to the Forza community in positive ways.
If you violate Forza community standards, you may receive a warning or find restrictions placed on your profile. Most commonly, the latter means a temporary suspension that removes one or more community features for a period of time.
For example:
- Don't belittle or haze others, especially if they are new to the community space
Since Forza content must be appropriate for all audiences, sometimes we remove content to protect our community. Depending on the type and severity of content violation, this can result in a warning or restrictions being placed on your profile.
For example:
- Avoid sharing content that could offend others for any reason
We may permanently suspend a profile if we can no longer trust it due to a severe violation, or if our attempts to correct repeated negative behaviors are unsuccessful.
For example:
- Threats of violence, harassment or bullying of any kind will result in instant permanent bans
