my computer cannot even run the game at max settings. not even close
i wanna keep the game on my drive but its also just so inconveniently large

Yeah its 160gb's. I have it running on another PC here on a 7200rpm hdd and works fine as well, if thats an option for you. Game does take a good chunk of an ssd.

hard drives like video cards, chip/MB/Ram need updating too as time goes on new games will only get bigger, and adding patches, and things all the time.
just the way it goes.
remember to leave some space on drive like 200gb for swap files. youll just have to make some decisions on what u want to keep on drive and uninstall some things.
I got a deal on a 4Tb SSD and theres 2 more 1TB's to manage. not easy or cheap.
like anything, its not gonna go backwards.. games arent going to get smaller, lol, dont complain, prepare.

I just added a 1 TB SSD from Samsung to my rig - they are not that expensive anymore, got a good deal for around € 65,-

I also recently bought a 1 TB SSD. Dirt cheap at $60. Upgrades are needed at some point. Just buy one

Doesn't stand that much out though.
Dirt Rally 2.0 which is probably the only thing comparable content-wise is 110 gigs, at much less cars. Forza Motorsport 7, which has comparable number of cars, but no open world or DLC maps, is 100 gigs. Even less-than-impressive looking games like NFS Unbound, Dirt 5, or Crew 2, don't go bellow 50 gigs.

So true, when I bought my 500 GB (about 5 years ago) I thought it was a bit overkill.
60 GB for a game was rare.
