How come FH 4 costs 5.00 more the FH 5 for the standard edition ? Im new to this series so pardon my ignorance :)

kinda weird. Maybe just your country? It's the same price here in the usa

People have brought this up in the past. It could be regional pricing, because I've never seen the same scenario for my region.

MS doesn't care that much about the pricing particulars on steam. There is a lot of history there, lots of gaffes and odd choices. Ignore it.

It shouldnt, because FH5 is obviously a newer game. But again, if we are being honest, FH5 shouldnt cost not even half the price than FH4 lol. So, you are lucky. FH4 is way better game than FH5 by a thousand miles.
