So the videos are still unsubtitled

Bought the game cuz I've heard good things but it's a really bad look when immediately starting the game an entire scene is unsubtitled. There's really no defending this at all.
Literally unplayable lol

I refunded the game after I bought it because of this issue. People shouldn't have to rely on fans to be able to play the game as it was released :\

I got this game on Switch. Didn't mind not understanding the 'Upcoming Episode' bits, but it legit angered me when the end of the last chapter was an unsubtitled monologue. I have no idea what was going on or how things ended and without a patch or something I never will :|

While I agree that this is egregious, you can still know what was said! There are translations out there. Many thanks to this post for providing the following information: https://www.reddit.com/r/otomegames/comments/ppo547/bustafellows_playalong_full_circle_auld_lang_syne/hfkfk6i/

When the song starts playing, the Japanese text on-screen is a liberal translation of Auld Lang Syne, as if from Adam's POV.

The video replay of Adam's birthday has some extra. Teuta urges, "C'mon, you only get one birthday wish every year!" and Adam goes, "Okay, then I wish everything to stay the same forever."

The last part showing a Zero Hour broadcast did get a one-off translation by one of the translators. The text is as follows:

"Russia is the country where I was born. And my love for it will always burn quietly
in my heart. Leo Tolstoy said 'love denies itself and transfers itself to another'. The song everyone hums is full of love that seeks no compensation. The feeling of love is something you can only feel if you pour it into your own heart. People who feel love in their hearts are happy.

I am happy. Even if every day isn't perfect, life goes on. Everyone has time to love someone else. That's enough to keep me living. And with that, I bid everyone good night."

Thank you for the translation Irish. I was very disappointed that I couldn't see what Adam said at the very end of the game, as I enjoyed every minute of my time spent playing. There were other transition instances where subtitles were missing, but the very end was the only one that really bothered me. So I'm glad I found it here. Thank you!

And yet the video on the Steam store page shows the opening cut scene with subtitles. Maybe not in-game ones, but subtitles nonetheless. That's rather shady.
