Hello people, I'm having the strangest issue ever with a game and with horizon in particularly. I`ve been playing this game for 15 hour and never encountered a single issue with the keyboard, mouse or joystick(I played with the xbox joystick at the beginning but moved to a K/M shortly after). The thing is that suddenly, today, when I loaded the game my mouse started to behave erratically. Every time I encountered machines or any other kind of enemies like carjas or eclipse, my mouse stopped working properly, like I couldn't move the camera at all, sometimes it jumped the view from one side to the other like it was suuuuper laggy and other times nothing at all. This happens every 10 or 15 seconds. Worth mentioning that while this is happening the rest of the game runs perfectly, there's no fps loses, keyboard works fine, it's just the mouse. I tried everything, reinstalling the mouse drivers, tweaking the registry, changing the display options in-game and from the amd's adrenaline software, resetting and deleting the config files. This started just before starting Deep secrets of the earth mission. I'm running out of ideas here, does anyone knows what could be possible happening here? As I said before this is super weird and honestly I don't have a clue of what could be messing with my mouse. This is the first time I experience this kind of issue, my mouse works flawlessly when playing other games like cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, Elite Dangerous, COD Vanguard, and a couple more. I'm verifying the files as I type this, honestly I don't have high expectations that this could fix this kind of issue but I'm giving it a shot.

Edit: One more thing, while I'm free roaming and currently not under combat the mouse works properly, there's no issue at all.

Edit 2: I verified files and the issue still remains :(

Edit 3: Ok, I know this is not a fix for the issue I'm having so Im going to keep the post open for the correct answer but the problem I was facing is gone. I played for half an hour until I reached All mother Mountain's interior and started The Heart of the nora mission. During those exact 3 missions my cpu usage spiked up to 98% usage (i have rivatuner's statistics layer enabled so I could pay attention to that info), so why did this happen? I don't know. I do know the game is cpu demanding as well as when a cpu reaches 100% it starts borking, lagging and all that but what's strange is why during those missions in particular. Anyways, help identifying what could cause this is very appreciate it and I hope this could help anyone experimenting a similar issue, if you are one of the unlucky ones keep playing, no matter how annoying and frustrating the game turns during these missions, after I finished them the game went back to normal.

I stopped using a wireless mouse for my gaming computer a long time ago because of the lack of responsiveness. Instead went with a wired mechanical K/B and a wired gaming mouse. And never looked back.

I know what you mean, I've been using a wireless mouse for years before I decided to give wireless K/M a try. Sadly, i tested it with my old wired razer mouse and results were the same. appreciate your input tho snipegirl.
