I saw the hard hunting mission from the short wave radio.
I read that the mission was to clear an area to make it safe for prospectors.

I got scared... D: I Didn't know what dangers to expect...

Decided to gear up before accepting this hard mission.

-Cured leather armor and altered them for some more health regeneration.
-Steel spear with the +10% melle damage alteration.
-Platinum crossbow with "speedy shots 1" and 30 copper bolts.
-Hunting rifle with about 30 rounds
-10 Health potions
-3 Stamina potions (just in case my character has to run for it @@')
-5 Strength potions for some extra melle (just in case)
-3 bandages, anti boitic, poison, and parasitic pills
- prepared meats to buff health regeneration and melle damage

Ok... :) Ready.

Let's accept the hard hunting mission.

It's probably randomized. This time, you got rabbits. The easy mission is probably 7 bears. :P

BTW... why only 30 rounds for the rifle? You can fire 100 before it wears out and needs repaired (without talents).

Do you mean they transposed hard with easy?
They may have one description for a range of difficulties.
So I got lucky and got 0/27 rabbits for a hard mission?

I think they have several random possibilities for that mission, and you got lucky and got rabbits for a "hard" mission.

I like to keep ammo with in perspective.

Why is there only one designated zone to hunt rabbits?

I saw a round yellow area on the map...
Can't we hunt rabbits anywhere on the map to fill it?
Rather than experiment with it, my character went to the zone.
It may may rabbit hunting harder...
Funny, my character harvested one rabbit far away from the zone and it counted...

An addition...
My character skinned one rabbit for meat.
It did not decrement the rabbit count.

Well, if the quest is just to kill them, it may not care what you do with the corpses, once they are counted. :P

It does show hunt 27 rabbits on the HUD.
I thought harvest 27 rabbits and put them in the pod...
Almost done...5 more to go...

if you get credit at time of killing, then it's just kill. Don't need to pod 'em.

Corpses are yours to collect ;)

Yes! It was exactly that!
When I killed a rabbit it tripped the pod drop.
I have rabbits and a load of crop plots... :)
