I'm having issues connecting with play button with friends, I tried to host a server but the play button greyed out and the "Connecting status" has been trying to connect for 1hr and half now and still nothing. I've done a full reset of my internet and re-install but I still can't connect, anyone know why or how to fix this issue?

Are you starting the game using the play button on the steam page, or using a shortcut to the app. I could not online ever when using a shortcut. I now use only the play button from the steam page, always get online instantly.

I use play button on steam and nothing happens still the same stuff. No idea what's going on. it worked when i first downloaded and played the game. I loaded up but crashed instantly and since then I can't connect. I've verified my files, reset my internet, cleared my internet using inconfig /cleardns and other ones, changed regions, re-installed the game twice and still nothing

Are you using a vpn, I have to disable mine to connect to Space Engineers, works with Icarus fine though..

Are you sure you have the latest version, updates aren't paused?

Try to swap to the beta and see if you can launch that, then back.

Also fully log out of steam, close, restart steam. Sometimes I need to do that when my IP changes, maybe triggering a security feature or something.. Games will launch but says i am in offline mode or something..
