Yeah I posted a similar thing. I gave up and let it fail after 200,000. Really killed the game for me as once you get a good map the score is only about how long you want to sit there making the weekly selection. Whats the point in playing when all your doing is waiting to get some good rng then mindlessly watching an endless run.

The game is good but it looks like there are only 2 possibilities; either you lose quickly before 10k or you have an endless game.
Now my goal is to make a perfect party for every city. At that moment i could say i finished the game. ^^

Are these ULTRA high scores still possible? I thought, the developers fixed this behaviour. I thought as well, that the speed of creating of new packages at the stores would steadily rise until the whole system busts and the game ends.

I don't know if it's still possible, I don't play it anymore.
I make my own game and it takes all my time. (well I try it's not easy but not impossible ^^)

The principle of laying roads to avoid pop was already relevant when I made (2map) these high scores and I didn't abuse it, except the beginning which allows to have something cleaner. But their system quickly puts the mess in any case, with or without this trick which is part of the game.
In any case it is more luck than the certified winning trick, on the 100h+ that I played I had 2 like that and I didn't know it when I was playing that it was going to be a highscore game.

But yes, the insane scores shocked me too, as for metro... high score 1 billion. oO

Yeah, LUCK seems to be a huge factor. It's a pity because when such highscores are possible due to luck, than the highscore lists do not show which players are really the best.

I count myself as a medium player, I usually get scores between 2000 and 4000, which is around the top 25% players to top 10% players in most scenarios. But in Munich I scored 3363 points and am amongst the top 1 % of all players. I can't tell you if I did something differently in this particular game.

Do you like the last part of the game, the "endgame"? I do not. In my opinion, the endgame is too short. The speed get insanely fast, so fast, that most changes I make do not have an effect. Sometimes, changing the road layout in endgame is even counter productive and ruins what was working until then. It would be nice to have more options than just roundabouts and traffic lights as the player. Like removing houses or resetting a store in order to "buy" some more time. The "tools" that we - the players - are given could be more flexible. That would prolong the endgame and would make it more strategically. I would like to be more "in control" during endgame. That would also reduce the irratic + random influence of LUCK.

I also consider myself an average player (in all games)
I have almost the same score on average, I reach 4000 on 3/4 but some I do not exceed 2000.
Yes, the further we go, the more we feel that the end is approaching quickly, it often pops very quickly. I spend more time in pause than in play mode.
(normal speed)
Yes, at some point in the game, nothing should be changed, because removing one road for another works only if no car is on the way.
This is what I learned from my games:
1: no change unless you can put before what will replace.
2: traffic lights are a brake for the game, it is better to put roundabouts. (never use traffic light, just for success)
3: the most important thing is to do your best so that a path is only taken by one color of car (this is the key) no crossings so that it is fluid.
4: 6-8 house for a large plant, depending on distance. (without crossing and single color on the road)
