Not sure if it's meant to work this way, but could not find any one else describing this.

Here's what I found:
During the weekly challenge I played a bunch of times, and was having fun checking out the analytics and leaderboard as I had beaten my own scores a few times, etc. Before the week was up, I started a run, but had to stop playing and let it save the game. I later came back to it after the week had ended, and finish the run just for fun. After that ended, I checked out the analytics again and my previous high score was not saved. It was the score from the last run I did. Not the final score I got, but presumably at the time that weekly challenge ended and a new week started.

So what's supposed to be saved as a high score on the weekly challenge? Should I not be resuming a game I was in the middle of when a challenge week has already ended?

your description is not only absolutely confusing
i'd say, you even seem flat out to contradict yourself

i have tried to understand what happened but your words can be understood both ways
as
the final was saved
final = second, resumed
or
as the previous was saved
previous = score state within the previous week


so


1. weekly challenges change weekly (should be self explanatory)
2a. you are not supposed to play a weekly challenge for longer than within the given week
if you resume a challenge from the last week, then the score reached within that last week will be recorded
if that happened then everything went as it should be
2b. if you were able to Resume your run from last week's weekly challenge & the game recorded your LAST, NEW, FINAL result, then congratulations, you found an exploit
but i doubt it, so probably rather 2a.

Hi, thanks for interest in answering. Sorry my post was ambiguous, I'll try to lay it out to better understand.

1. During a challenge week, play a few times and get a high score of say, 4k.
2. On the last day of the challenge week, begin a game, but then need to stop. I'll get back to the main menu and close out of the game.
3. The next day, open the game back up and it asks if I want to resume the run, which I do. To be clear, I don't really expect it to register a new score for that challenge week, since it had already closed. But it does give the option to resume it, and I just want to finish this run for fun.
4. In the resumed run, get a score of ~3k, which wouldn't have broken my previous record anyway.
5. Look at the analytics and leaderboard for the previous week, where I would have expected to see my 4k score. But it's only ~1k.

I would have expected your point '2a' to happen, but it seems like not quite. What I think happened was when the challenge week ended, it registered the score in the saved run at the time that I closed the game, rather than my 4k from runs that were actually completed during the challenge week.

Not a huge deal, these scores don't seem to get saved for very long it anyway. But just thought it was an odd behavior.

if so, then it seems to be a bug
the devs could maybe read that here & correct
