Update on Myth of Empires and Steam

Angela Game has filed a lawsuit (Click the link for details www.dropbox.com/s/hc6hpw8gdm3f4au ) alleging that Studio Wildcard and Snail Games USA made knowingly false statements to Steam to induce Steam to delist Myth of Empires.
 
We are seeking a preliminary injunction to have Myth of Empires restored to the Steam store as soon as possible.  The case is scheduled for hearing on January 31, 2022.
 
We are continuing to develop and update Myth of Empires. The current servers for the Steam version of the game will continue to operate as normal. We will also continue our work opening new servers as well as developing new events. In addition, we can tell you that we’re actively working on bringing the game online, both on our official website and our game platforms. Players can continue to experience the world of Myth of Empires with their friends. Thank you for all your support.
 
We will continue our work on Myth of Empires as well as our future projects.

Really a sad state of affairs.

will you sue them back for making false statements and causing all the trouble?

I mean has anyone read the code in the lawsuit? Extremely similar code. Inside the Myth of Empires binary, there are references to "Primal" Mod GameData - "Primal" being specific to ARK / ATLAS (PrimalGameData)

I mean i love myth of empires and i think they would have ended with a great product but if you stole 1/2 your game from another games code....

Yea same. Looked at exhibit A and died layghing.... I mean when you reference Primal mods.....

What bothers me now, is they are lying to their user's acting like they will be able to get this game back on the marketplace. The only place this game is going is bankrupt or bought out by SWC.

Also, I did enjoy playing certain parts of the game. But looking back on it... I think I just enjoyed playing the Ark/Atlas parts of it. So much of the game was broken, not balanced, or otherwise unplayable. And it is funny that the parts that were the most broken, are the parts they probably developed.

That isn't a knock on them, it is just how development goes. It takes a while to get a game stable. Which is why it is so disgusting that they stole so much of Ark's codebase.
