2k23 next gen?
Is 2k actually gonna give a crap about the pc community, or we gonna have the bar minimum like always. A multi billion dollar copy and we get a ten cent game.

Zeokage replied to 2k23 next gen? February 11, 2022 @ 12:18:26 am PSTI would imagine it might happen when the majority of PC players have the correct minimum specs.
Considering how many people this year have posted about having issues here on the forum and didn't have processors with AVX, that might be a little way off.

Lol, there are so many things wrong with that single statement. Too funny

_Joe___ replied to 2k23 next gen? February 12, 2022 @ 11:17:55 am PSTIt's not just that this is last gen. There's missing content in the game. MyPlayer next gen has G Leauge options instead of going to college, which this year is ridiculously hard with an entry level player and has no rookie mode. So if I bought a $60 full price game and then I discovered that features were removed which have nothing to do with my computer's processing power I'd be mad too. I paid for the same experience, there's no reason to remove content for people who pay equivalent money. Justify that, Zeokage.

Zeokage replied to 2k23 next gen? February 12, 2022 @ 2:39:50 pm PSTSo you bought a game for $50 knowing that it was the same version of the game people paid $60 dollars for on their console? A version 2K were clear in explaining that didn't have all the changes the 9th Gen console version had if you did any basic checks on their website? No content was "removed" from the PC version, it's the same game as the 8th Gen version of the game.
What needs justifying?

_Joe___ replied to 2k23 next gen? February 12, 2022 @ 6:23:21 pm PSTDid... did you read my post? All the words? This will be really hard to discuss if you just make up stuff and don't pay attention.
It's a $60 game. Period. When it's not on sale for PC it's full price. Same price as console buyers.
It's missing content. Not just animations, but actual meaningful content. The story (MyPlayer/MyCareer) mode on console has two paths to the NBA. The PC version has one route. It's the harder route. It's the less enjoyable route. It's the pay-to-win route, naturally. The story as presented in this manner doesn't even make sense. Context is missing, the characters aren't even introduced. The story begins mid conversation. In my opinion that's disrespectful of PC players. There's a lot missing.
If you bought a book called NBA 2K22 and it had seven chapters and I buy the book with the same title at the same price and it doesn't say anywhere that my version is missing the first chapter so I only get six I got ripped off. Everyone with a PC version got ripped off. There's no justifying that. There's no 'your comp can't handle the shaders' argument. We got cheated. It doesn't say anywhere story content is missing. It doesn't say anywhere I can't start MyPlayer in the G League on the PC. Even if you compare what's posted between new and current gen on the 2K site it fails to explain all the limits. It doesn't mention the G League at all. I only found out it existed on new gen because it kept getting mentioned in discussions about how bonkers the college route is this year.
Your entire OP hinges on the idea that we're being disrespected because our hardware doesn't sync. It fails to address that the game is missing parts that don't hinge on system specs and we're being charged the same.
All these words up above this sentence? This is the stuff that needs justifying. Same price, vastly inferior game.
TNG is right. 2K sold us garbage.

Dev replied to 2k23 next gen? February 12, 2022 @ 7:47:24 pm PSTIf you guys keep buying garbage, they don't have a lot of incentive to not sell you garbage.

_Joe___ replied to 2k23 next gen? February 12, 2022 @ 8:58:33 pm PSTQuoth the internet: "CHART TOPPER: NBA 2K22 was the top selling new release in the US for 2021 8 million units sold with 1.9 million users playing every single day makes NBA 2K22 a massive success. This is great news for the future and NBA 2K23."
Even if everyone we ever met in a player lobby chose not to buy this game, it would still be a massive success. There's no stopping this and there's no alternative. With that said, there's really no excuse then to ignore a batch of customers because 2K wants a sweetheart deal with console makers or some such. But you can't boycott your way around this, especially if you actually want to play video game basketball.

None of this is accurate, but it's a bit funny to read.
