Im so close to buying the game but the pricetag is stopping me from pulling the trigger.

Really want to get into the game to eventually do dungeons, but I think the biggest think thats roping me in is just crafting/skilling and making gold lmao.

Curious if people can list what they love/dislike about the game.

Nearly all the pros are gone with the new season pass bs. The original pro is that it was a pay once game. However, now they've added monthly paid fomo without fixing any of the glaring content. They've added very little content in the almost 2 years the game has been out. There's like 5-6 dungeons... that's it. There's like 12 enemy types. Mandatory pvp, which is very unbalanced, to complete seasonal content. The crafting is a joke.

But the game looks and sounds good!

Grabbed it on sale and am enjoying the journey casually for what it is. If I get 50h out of it, I will be quite happy with the purchase (£ to entertainment hours spent). No major complaints thus far, but have just scratched the surface imho.

Lv1-60: you can solo pretty much w/o a problem. No need grinding, the main quest will give you sufficient of exp. The main complaint of this part is running around all the time. (By the end, this is the part i enjoyed the most, world and music are decent and beautiful)

After lv 60, you need to do dungeons to increase your "expertise" level to Gear Score 600 from 500 something. Many players will not welcome you because your Gear Level is too low. After some research, I found there are only 1 dungeons will welcome you for the grind.

Another way to increase your expertise is through something called ECR (Elite Chest Run), you follow dozens of players, running and open chest. Experience after the lv 60 is bad for me. Time is wasted waiting for the queue of dungeons, running around to open chests.

When you reached GS600, another grind is waiting for you. You need to do the higher version of previous dungeon called mutation to collect umbral shard to upgrade your gears from Gear Score 600 to 625.

There are some moments I really enjoyed such as the final dungeons of the main quest, trying to figure out the mechanic with other newbies is fun.

Btw the action combat is fun too but it is simple and the enemy variety is bad.

Thank you I appreciate this, Ive been seeing a lot of negative things about the game, and it seems it still has a lot of time to cook(like a year ish?) even though Ive seen/heard theyve made a lot of fixes/improvements, the game is still lacking.

I'll def wait for now then, and pick it up when its on a 50% sale

It is not a bad game, just don't expect too much. It is not a game that can hook you hours after max 60 imo. Sometimes I just log in and grind a bit on the weapon level or a dungeon then log off. I just checked out the new dungeon yesterday, it's quite challenging (not bad quality, but the dev spent 6 months to deliver 1 new dungeon).

It's so sad seeing these comments. The first month and a half I have my entire gameplay hours from, which is a measly 300 but, I can't imagine them never changing pvp or adding any content. Everytime I think I want to give this game another try after sinking days worth of time into this game on launch it's pathetic to see how little they've done. Now they've added a BP system of sorts it sounds like and it sounds god awful. So sad man. A game that seemingly blew up over night with almost 1mil concurrent players and queue times of 8 hours on launch to nobody even wanting to play and the people who do hate it but have nothing else worth playing.

So they kept the trash "Watermark" system and then furthered the suffering of it by making it even harder to level gear after reaching the old max GS. Wow. So not only have they not added anything good, they actually made the game worse for End Game.

pve boys get the game they wanted, pvp sucks, bots, chest train as end game, game pass

edit: the stupid 2000 players cap servers, choose wrong server and enjoy when you meet another player!

the worst part of this system is how many players will grind to the end to join the pvp. It's a system discourages players to pvp.

- No real new content since launch except one new area which can be played thro in a few hours.
- Watermark system (leveling up your gearscore after max lvl) is way to grindy especially at higher GS.
- P2W Season Pass rewards. Premium rewardtrack gives you lots of legendary gear, F2P reward track doesnt give gear at all.
- The game Forces you to PVP if you want to complete the challenges for leveling up the Season Pass.
- Most End game content cant be played solo at all.
- Long queues for dungeons.

Yeah it's a pretty enjoyable game tbh, NW was the first MMO i could play without getting easily bored. It's different for everyone obviously, you have 2 hours to refund if you don't like how the game feels. Big updates every 3 months from now on.
