It's still worth to play this in 2023?

A) Simple question with extremely complicated answers, subjective, and has been asked countless times, I see 2 on the front page alone
B) No context for what "worth it" means to you, and what you are seeking to accomplish by beginning this game
C) 20$ is a minuscule amount of money for some people, for others it is a lot. You can certainly get a refund on steam if you begin playing and dislike it
D) There are COPIOUS amounts of content creators and content littered all over the internet that can explain the game better than a forum post ever could

Was it to begin with? A lot of the updates since the start of 2023 have been yawn-inducing.

I think one of the more notable updates the game has had was the announcement of the LOTRO MMO AG's developing.
