My attributes are currently Strength and Con. I've been using a GS and Hammer. If I wanted to level up my speer and rapier would it be a big deal if I kept my attributes the same? Do I need to switch my attributes to Dex? Thank you for any input. Respects!!

You get two atts for a weapon one is normally going to be less per point. Dex will be more powerful than str except for great sword they scale the same. You can redo your atts at 60 for a small fee. You can get away with using str you wont be at full power as if you used dex.

Most players that do big damage builds use both atts with points you get more damage than if you went over 300 on a att.

So I did switch from Strength to Dex and yes, it gave a nice DPS boost to my spear and GS.

if you're just leveling weapons you can also just hit a mob once with whatever weapon and then switch to what you're specced for and the xp gets split evenly between the two
