i like the new update that is coming but i think you should either get more prestige levels for as high a level as i have or at least something other than a badge, sorry but i didn't spend so many hours in the game for nothing as of now to lose everything again

Well we weren't going to get ANY prestige level at all initially (which in turn means we'd have to unlock everything again), just the badge... which, until recently, we thought would be a static design and not a customizable one.

The whole point of starting players with prestige 1 is so you don't "lose everything". Prestige 1 = start with everything unlocked so you don't have to unlock it. That's all it is. Prestiges beyond that don't give anything that we currently know of, it's just a thing for players to progress through; If you started at maximum prestige maximum level because you were already super high level, You'd be just as salty if not more than because you'd have nothing left to do- Literally.

we don't know how far the prestige levels go when it goes up to 100
you could give prestige level 9 at 900 normal level
I wouldn't even mind if maps or equipment weren't activated
I'm just concerned that I will get the same with a high level as everyone else who is not high level
I also think that I'm not the only one who thinks that, those with higher levels, for example, probably also think that it sucks that everyone is put on the same level at once, even though they spend so much time leveling up like me, have stuck

900 isn't high at all. Also you're moaning about a wipe in an EA game? They don't have to give us anything so why are people so damn upset because they didn't put more effort in?

Most things that work like a "Rebirth" behave like this though. You sacrifice all your levels and assets in order to make some number get a little higher and maybe just maybe get some sort of perk.

It also so happens that most Alpha or Beta builds of games also delete or wipe all progress made before the full release often with nothing, not even a badge, to show for your work...and this is an "Early Access" game so it is basically bound by the same possibility.

If you paid a monthly subscription for the game, it would make sense if they stole your number away.

But in this scenario we are all facing, you are keeping all your "progress" via equipment and stage unlocks. Just play a map or two and you'll have a full load out and plenty of cash again. And your number will get crazy high once more...no real loss.

900 is a solid 100+ hours of gameplay for the average person.

I think it is a good thing we all just start at over again, otherwise we would all miss out on the new systems. They are adding this entire new level system that is supposed to make leveling more fun and exciting and you want to just skip over it.

I'm on 205 hours and level 808.

No custom gamss and just messing around on intermediate/professional with the misses.

Stopped taking the game seriously after the first 30 hours or so, so lots of wasted xp getting myself killed for ghost photos and trying to kite.

I'd consider myself an average gamer for this game.

I mean this in the nicest way, but why would it even really matter what other people get vs you, in the end? It's not a competition, the game is supposed to be fun. Rather than bemoaning what other players may get to enjoy, just be happy there is some consideration for all of us players who did things before the reset. It's just a fun thing to show how much we played before Progression 2.0.

It's not even a proper wipe in regards to the levels. You'll get a badge stating how much level you had prior to that update, so if you want to show off whatever you think your level shows, then you can still do that.

But overall it is definitely important to devide these things, so that the system starts to make sense again, as a high prestige will again be able to show, that you've put in some work to level up instead of just powerleveling all the time (not that people care anyway, but people like you, who put that much weight into XP should probably be thankfull for such a change)

100+ hrs is barely a weeks worth. Pretty small when you compare it to a game that's been out for over 2 yrs.

I understand that the average person isn't going to put in that many hours in a week. I'm just using that as a comparison to the grander scale.

No, I quoted the right person. The person above said that lvl 900 isn't that high. Then the person I quoted insinuated that 100+ hrs is. I was just saying that it is not compared to how long the game has been out.

Yeah I said 900 isn't much.

Also for the 'average' gamer. 100 hours in a game is probably way more than they'd do.

Saying that I've our more hours into this than probably like 7 AAA titles combined.

Not sure average applies to gamers.

What I'm saying though is 100hrs can be considered an average gamer, but that all depends on how long you've owned the game. If you own the game for 1 month and put 100 hrs into seems a lot more dedicated compared to 100 hrs and owning it for a year.

With that said, I would feel more like the average gamer if I put in 1 yr and 100hrs. I would probably feel less need to care if there was a wipe. Now on the other hand, if I put in 100hrs in a month or less and found out there was gonna be a wipe, I would understand being a little more upset. Feeling like putting in a lot of work, in a short period of time.
