i'm really having trouble with getting shot at but being unable to tell where its coming from, i am playing with hyperx cloud 2 wireless 7.1 headset and still it takes me a very long time and sometimes i don't even see the person untill its too late, im playing with vanilla sound options, any useful tip or help would be appreciated.

it has a stereo function too but isn't 7.1 better ?

No, It natively supports Stereo audio output

There is no real dolby anyway, most are software solutions only a few have real mini speakers inside.

Look, we humans also have 2 ears only and it works pretty well.

Don't use any special features, clear stereo with all things off is the best way.
Basically, the raw input of the game/ audio signals.

Pls set HRTF to on, it's a huge difference but watch below.
It might be disturbing after you changed it but you just need to be sure how good it works. After a short time, you won't miss it anymore.
