PSA: Supporter Edition playtest period, plan going forward
Hey all, I want to re-iterate the PSA sent in our official RoN Discord announcements following the update:
"For future notice:
A stable and high quality build is our highest priority, which is the goal of the Supporter playtesting to address and deal with any emergent issues. We plan to release our updates to the broader Public once deemed stable and of proper quality, forgoing a set Supporter playtest duration."

WHY ARE YOU PUTTING BUG FIXES AND AI IMPROVEMENTS BEHIND A PAYWALL?

Supporter Edition is just a name that was coined back in 2019 before a tangible product was even in existence, back when Supporter Edition owners were playtesting prior to public Steam release.
While everyone that has purchased our game is a supporter of Ready or Not, we owe it to the users that stood by us in our earliest days and did more than just pre-order, they were instrumental in the formative days of the game.
Emergent issues that aren't noticed until leaving the internal QA phase have the potential to be extremely detrimental to the Public release, and undermine intended fixes or improvements in other areas.
As a commitment to the 'Supporter Edition' play testers— which is a concept that existed years before the Steam release— and for the benefit of everyone, these smaller-scale playtest periods allow us to effectively iron out these issues.
The plan going forward is to not tie a specific duration to that playtest period, but to allow the bug fixing nature of the playtesting to run its course. This change is due to a revamped internal processes for assessing builds that has come with the expansion of our own internal QC department.
Ideally this may mean shorter playtest periods, which is all down to the development team's internal confidence in the current build.
