Is it meant to be present day alternate universe? Or is it late 20s? 30s?
I know the world is supposed to be like a chaotic, crime ridden future but do we have a year from the devs?

I think it's more so of an alternate-reality LA type city. Take Cyberpunk as an example. By 2020, things were much much different than present 2020s are. So, my thought is that it's present day, but alternate reality

I'm not sure the date actually, I think some of the calendars in HQ could help with that, but I haven't paid much attention.

The overall time doesn't really matter much, more that you know that the US is in a bad state overall, and that's where the events take place.

I like to think it's in the near future where the US is in a worst position than it is right now. Los Suenos is basically a fictional LA because I don't think Void could afford the LAPD license like Sierra could.
