Did the Custom Physics Engine Teardown Game Use Bullet Physics?

Hello everyone,

I have been playing the Custom Physics Engine Teardown game and I am absolutely loving the destructible environment and the realistic physics engine. I was wondering if anyone knows what physics engine was used to create this game.

I noticed on the game's website, there was a mention of a custom physics engine teardown. However, it wasn't clear if this was built from scratch or if it was built on top of an existing physics engine like Bullet Physics.

Has anyone found any information on this? I would love to know more about the technology behind this game.

Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide!

According to the FAQ section of the official Teardown website, the engine was made specifically for the game, and isn't based on any preexisting engines.

The game's FAQ states that it uses a custom physics and graphics engine that is based on voxel technology and built specifically for Teardown. However, the FAQ does not provide a clear confirmation on whether the physics engine was built entirely from scratch or not.

Well, it probably was built from scratch.
