I had just finished the socratic dialogue with the underground and was making my way through the underground passage that he gave me the key for. At the entrance where the 7 arrows are, I triggered the proximity dialogue with Desius where he sees you with a bow for the first time and ended up stuck in the ground directly below him.

I guess the proximity trigger for the dialogue horizontally is small but vertically is really big? idk but hope this helps. enjoying the game so far!

If Desius causes more trouble for you, the best workaround is having that conversation, so you get the fake golden bow.
