I bought and downloaded this game tonight. I went to launch it and it crashed. I reinstalled it and got the same crash. I verified the local game files through steam and still got the same crash.

I tried #1 and it didn't change anything.

We've seen this happening with other games, and from what we can gather, these are two possible solutions:
1. Disable all external programs with overlays, such as Steam and Discord, etc. To disable the Steam overlay: Go to Steam > Settings > In-Game > Enable Steam overlay in game = Disabled. If that doesn't work:
2. Rollback you GPU driver to a previous version until you find one that's stable.
