I have Claudia's love letter, but can't show it to Malleolus (Quinctius)

Same problem.
I have a love letter cause I killed Claudia, but I also have wine and I guess quest just bugged cause I can't neither give a letter to Malleolus nor give wine to Claudia
In fact, I can't even start a conversation about betraying Malleolus with her.

Help me, step dev, I'm stuck!

Hi there. Sorry to hear about this, and thanks for letting us know.
Until we have a fix for this, if you need a workaround to get the Greek plaque you can cheat by: Opening your console with ~ and typing: give plaque_greek 1
But I'll work on a fix for it ASAP. But it would help me if you gave me detailed steps about how to reproduce the bug, in dot points. For example, in this loop, did you speak to the assassin? Read his bounty notice? Talk to Malleolus? Accuse Mall of being Quinctius?

2) Kill Cladia, pick letter.
3) Loop.
4) Can accuse, but can't give a letter to Quinctius.

Great, thanks for the reproduction steps. I'll investigate and work on a fix today.

I could speak to Claudia about it once, right at the start of the game. I accidentally angered her so I didn't get further in the quest. Every loop after that didn't allow me to speak to her about this. She just says "my marriage is none of your business".

I would have loved to finish the game today, but I'm not going to cheat and miss out on important content. Otherwise, is there any way to free Duli without doing this quest chain?

I had this same bug!
I chose the wrong dialogue for Claudia so I ended up stealing the letter from her chest, but after resetting the loop it wouldn't let me successfully blackmail Quinctius OR start the dialogue again with Claudia (the dialogue option just wasn't there). Had to reload a save from before I stole the letter and actually convince her to give it to me to proceed.

I'm having the same issue as well actually. Here's what I'd done:

- Mentioned Malleolus being Quinctus to his face

- Spoke to Claudia, she asked me to get her some wine before proceeding.

- Shot the woman who owned the wine in the face with a golden arrow for the wine. Looped back.

- Repeat step one, all attempts to recreate step 2 fail. She will not at all tell me about her situation with Malleolus, nor can I convince her to give me proof of who he actually is.

At the point that I first tried to get the love letter, I had killed the assassin, picked up the bounty, spoken to her husband, etc. I had actually done almost every single quest other than this one. I saw the dialogue option about getting back at her husband and selected it, but chose the wrong dialogue option (i.e. I want to stop him from running for office) and she shut down the conversation. Knowing I would need to trigger the Golden Rule anyway, I killed her and looted the letter off of her body. In future saves, I could not confront her husband about the letter. I tried to talk to her, but the dialogue option was no longer there to ask about the letter. I tried this a few times and tried doing the other steps within the same "day" but could not get the dialogue option to appear again. Eventually I just reloaded an old save and chose the right dialogue options, and this time the quest progressed as planned. I think the bug has to do with the looted letter: perhaps it is the "correct" dialogue with Claudia that unlocks the dialogue with Quinctus rather than possession of the letter, and the option to ask Claudia for the letter is programmed to go away once it detects that the player is in possession of it? That's what I gathered, anyway.

I absolutely love the game and can tell how much time and care was put into it, and have already recommended it to several friends. Thank you for your responsiveness about this bug to other commenters, I figured I'd throw in my instance of the bug in case that helps you target the problem.

Any idea when the next patch will launch? This bug has broken my game.

I seem to be stuck on the same issue. First time I met Claudia I angered her and didnt loot the chest. Now any time I go there she will not let me talk about her marriage issues and there is only money in the chest.

Also I've somehow managed to bug it in such a way that my character doesnt know Quinctiuses identity, there is no option to ask him about it.

Edit: Actually I managed to get unstuck. Turns out I never had picked up the Bounty Note from the Assassin, I've only heard his verbal description of Quinctius. Apparently only the Bounty Note unlocks the dialogue with Q.

oooooooh, this is a bug - that explains many things! So, yes, I too cannot get back to the dialogue option for Claudia that will let me use her letter, after I accidentally got her upset the first time around. I do still have the letter, and the bounty note, but that does not allow me to get M. to step down from the election. But, as the devs say they're working on it, hopefully it'll get sorted soon. Until then, I think I'll try again by picking up the bounty note 'fresh' from the assassin at the start of the loop.

edit: alright, so for me it worked to pick up another fresh copy of the bounty note, but what also is a thing is that when talking to Mal, you don't get a 'new/unused' dialogue option until you first tell him you know he's Q, he tells you you're wrong, and only after that does the new line pop up.
But I got there in the end :)
