I'm replaying the game and trying to do Minimalist, and for some reason during the exchange with Naevia, I don't have the dialog option "Wait, I can fix this."

More detail: I'm on my first day of a new game (no loops). I got the bow by ninjaing my way over to the abandoned shrine and reading the note so that I could then warn Fabia and kill the assassin on my first day (why is it literally impossible to get past Fabia and read the note on the shrine without parkouring over a wall?).

I then undertook the Naevia quest line. I largely sprinted through it, but I did pick up three journal entries, if relevant. When I talk to Naevia, the dialog options are normal until she says the line ending in, "all it would take is one... little... cut..." I only get one dialog option ("I'd be only too happy to imprison you in gold") where I should also be able to say "Wait, I can undo this," at which point Naevia attacks me and breaks the Golden Rule.

Can't think of any reason this should be the case, seems like a bug, unless I'm missing something. It's ruining my ability to get anything more done on the first day.

I appreciate the response, and the idea for a workaround. I think I'm just going to be content in the knowledge that I'm pretty sure I know how to do a Minimalist run. Steam achievements are not particularly important to me anyway.

Congratulations on an excellent game! Really getting a lot of attention in the last month, at least in places I pay attention to, largely in contrast to the apparent trainwreck of 12 Minutes. Great job.

Hey there. Sorry to hear about this and thanks for letting us know. That does sound like a bug. A workaround would be:
1. Reload a save from before you entered the Shrine of Diana
2. Open your console with ~ and type "give longbow_gilding 1" then "give longbow_arrow_regular 10" so you'll have the golden bow without having to enter the palace or confront Naevia.
