1: resource gathering is irritating just running around and picking tiny pieces of different materials
2: arcade game mechanics with little to NO research in actual science or even theoretical science
3: spam single rooms that magically produce oxygen and only take 2 tiny iron pieces to be made, so that you can travel further, like what even
4: underwhelming end goal and tiny map , it says terraform the planet but you just complete a couple of things and boom the "whole planet" is terraformed
5: most of the game time is wasted running around picking tiny peices of resources from the ground , in terms of actual simulation or game play, there isnt anything there at the backend , just as i said a set number of things to do until the small area you play in is magically terraformed

its all this game is at this stage honestly , i can see why it appeals casuals who want a "relaxing game" but this is far from any kind of survival game , its a straight up arcady game with no depth whatsoever even in its titular game mechanic

this thread isnt for those who nutthug developers and just want to come and pick a meaningless argument, its actually for discussing the games shortcomings.

i personally think some scientific depth and more layers to building and resource gathering will help the game leaps and bounds.

It sounds to me like the game simply isn't for you. Nothing wrong with that. People have different tastes. Personally, I like the resource management,etc. I find the entire endeavor of base constructing and managing it's different elements to be relaxing and a good way to kill time. It's a nice break from the games I usually play, which are mostly all combat oriented.

You make it sound like arcade games are bad. I don't think this game was meant to be a scientifically accurate simulation. It's meant to be an arcade terraformer game. Look at Subnautica. That game is super arcade but insanely popular. No Mans Sky is also very arcade but also very popular. There are realistic simulation games and there are arcade games. Both can be good and both have their fanbases. If you don't like arcade games then go play something else.

atleast in my opinion a game based on scientific things should have a bit more scientific depth

There is only two devs, don't expect to much.
They are also not scientist, just developer. Of course we can't terraform a planet with only one man, small piece of iron and several machines. This game is totally unrealistic.
But I don't know others games that allow me to terraform a planet by myself. Plus in a relaxing way.
I think it is a good thing the game is not scientifically consistent, would be a total pain to play casually ahah

bro the dev size is not my concern , what is my concern is the buying price for what is offered as a customer, and i reserve the right to criticise them

Thank you for the feedback! As some people said already, everybody like different things, and that's totally ok.
Our main concern is making sure people who buy the game know what it is beforehand, that's why we propose a demo with more than 2 hours of content.

We didn't want to make a really realistic game, with really complex scientific realism. We wan't to make a relaxed gameplay game where you can experience the process of terraforming a planet.

We had to balance elements of gameplay, and of course, some people won't appreciate the final product. There's a lot of game out there, we hope everybody find what they love :)

This is not a terraforming simulator, nor is it an exoplanet survival simulator.

I like the theme and the relaxed gameplay, also like the exploration. It reminds me of satisfactory and subnautica in a nice way. Don't mind the price. As dev said, they've got a decent demo which is something many don't bother with nowadays.

what you mean the survival tag? have you seen what get tagged as survival? most horror games have the survival tag which they only have health system pretty much survival just means you can die/are trying to survive there is no other meaning to it so even if it's easy it's still survival and can be tagged as such.
