After the update to update 4 the game no longer loads for me, it will launch but it will just hang endlessly on a black screen without loading the game. Played the game a week before the update and didnt have this issue.

I'm having the same issue. I think it is happening for me because I have some mods installed. Trying to find if there are updates to the mods now. It sucks that the game is unplayable with mods during updates since there is a lag time between official updates and mod updates

I had the same problem just now. It is related to mods for sure. I removed the 2 BenInEx folders from the game directory and the game launched with no problems. No mods though obviously.

I don't think it is related to mods. I have this problem with no mods installed.

Hmm odd that removing the mod folder fixed my game loading issue if it isn't mod related.
It might be worth trying the game file integrity check.
(right click the game in your library and go to properties, should be on the first page)

I actually completely uninstalled and re-installed. :( No dice.

try scrubbing the files? when you have it installed check for the file location, delete everything there, then verify files, uninstall doesnt get rid of everything usually

Hello! Do you have mods installed? Try renaming the BepinEx folder, not all mods are compatible with Update 4 and this is the usual result. If you don't have any mods installed and are still getting a black screen, would you be able to provide us with more information by sending us your log files at logs@mechanistry.com ?

Is there a flag somewhere to control a logging level? Honestly, there is next to nothing in my log files.
