Expensive
I'll be honest, this is probably the most expensive Indie game I've seen in my local currency. What do you guys think? Worth it or totally not worth it?

Surveyor replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 4:00:00 am PSTWho in their right mind would want to do the unpacking not only voluntarily, but also for that kind of money...

Wren replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 4:50:05 am PSTWho in their right mind would want to do a lot of the activities we choose to do in games? ;) Games are able to take activities we wouldn’t want to do in real life, take out all the bad parts and make them fun.

Surveyor replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 7:51:51 am PSTBut what you are supposed to do in this game is THE bad part :/ And judging from the reviews, you can't even arrange the things the way you like... I seriously fail to see what is good about this game apart from being cute. If I wanted to tidy up things and arrange them, I'd rather do it in reality - that'd be way more productive.

That would make the game worth the price and it would be one of my favorite games. The price is a bit too high if thats all we get and I feel sad because I just want more content hahha

Melusane replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 10:57:17 am PSTI think I'll wait till the price drops a bit or that there is more content. 20€ corresponds to a much more lasting game.

PixWiz replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 12:26:25 pm PSTI would say its worth it. That is if it will get updated. Only thing I would want from the game is freedom. If I'm unpacking MY stuff, for MY place. Then let me put them where I want. Don't block me from progressing because I put a toy in a drawer and not on a shelf.

kimmy replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 2:40:18 pm PSTI really enjoyed the game. Played it for 6 hours straight as i tried to get all the achievements haha. First run of the game was just me exploring and doing the puzzles and second run was free-placing it to see how well i can organize the rooms and also to finish up the achievements

snowriddenwolf replied to Expensive November 7, 2021 @ 6:41:32 pm PSTI think it's worth it! I've had a lot of fun with it and have been replaying levels, trying to figure out the achievements and whatnot. It's also just a very relaxing game, and puzzling out the story as you go is an added bit of fun.

There is an option in settings that lets you put things anywhere. I haven't used it, so I don't know exactly how it works.

There is many simulation games where people are doing activities others have no want to do in life, let alone a game setting. That's simply the nature of that genre. What you find to be a negative others are enjoying. Just different tastes.

ellie19970306 replied to Expensive November 9, 2021 @ 5:00:41 am PSTI bought it with 70 yuan (Chinese currency). I think it's a bit expensive among other indie games I've bought. But when I know it cost 19.99 euros (more than 150 yuan) in Germany, I think I am fine with the price...

It reminds me of the insanity of Visceral Cleanup Detail - a janitor simulator.
And yet that is one of the best games I have played in 40 years with 100+ hours of 'cleaning'.
You either understand why you would play a game like this or you don't, I certainly do and will be getting it at some point.
I am still unpacking my house 5 years later, there is the redecorating/renovating to do before you can complete it.
And if you put out non-cynical, quality DLC then I would guess a lot of base game owners would buy it, I certainly would.

I really enjoyed it but I probably wouldn't have done ten years ago. It scratches an itch for me. We don't all want the same thing, I see no point in playing truck simulators, Farming simulators and many other games... but other people love them!

Turnip replied to Expensive November 10, 2021 @ 3:32:24 pm PSTI've been waiting for this game to come out for a year or so because I'm strange and actually like organizing spaces. I do agree that it is pricey, especially for such a relatively short game though. Regardless, I've played it many times and you can realistically put items anywhere, there are just a *few* items that have specific places or just specific rooms in general. For example, why would you wanna put a crockpot in the closet? It's a good game, but I honestly do agree that it is a lot of money for what the game is.
