sometimes it is just really easy to spot. I tried to report a few the other day but in the report options there was no option for it... Like, what is wrong? or maybe im just blind.

Which option shall i choose for it? I dont like to report but lately, vr chat really needs a clean up and im getting tired

And with all the forum complaints about underage users running rampant, why hasn't anyone big brained and started votekicking them? Platform-wide mass kicking would clear out the kids and starve out the predators. Two birds, one stone.

I'm actually not even sure if votekicking still works, it stopping working for a bit and started again, and half the time there's a lot of people who kinda normalize this behavior now so I doubt people will actually votekick them.

I mean I manage to talk to them and make them relax a bit or whatever, im not talking about my personal space here. I m usually pretty kind to people and try to make things as sweet as posible, but we are talking about babies here, in an "adult" environment.

10 years old kids in vr chat is a big no and its very scary lol, We really need a report system for underage kids, to help us, and them too

You can report people for reasons not listed in the VRChat menus using the support ticketing system.

I wouldn't recommend this. You can face account actions for making false reports. And ultimately this just wastes moderation time looking for something you just made up. Use the above ticketing system.

so you have to literally video every kid who outs themselves as being a 7 year old? thats crazy that you have to go so far just to make vrchat enforce the rules

its THEIR OWN RULES that says no kids under 13, so why dont they Freakin enforce it, or at least not get in peoples ways when they try to report it

What is the alternative? They aren't going to start banning people with no evidence. Moderating age restrictions isn't as clear cut as harassment, hateful avatars or client use. You are only guessing if you think you can differentiate between an unknown 13 year old and an unknown 12 year old.

An unsubstantiated accusation isn't useful and takes moderation resources to process. Hundreds of reports made effortlessly by people that merely *think* someone is underage is a net detriment to moderation efforts.

It's been my experience that most/all founded reports are acted on. I have a block list of dozens of violators that were reported and now have a robot icon pfp, having been yeeted from the platform. The rules are enforced. Often they are enforced in real time. I've seen plenty of people yeeted from the game while I was in a lobby with them, minutes after getting reported.

Just a guess on my part, but maybe VRC *is* trying to get in your way on this issue. The modicum of effort required to start a ticket separates useful reports from harmful reports.

Alternatively, you could just block and move on with your life. Obviously, if you see something actively harmful or that puts someone in danger, you should document and report it. The tools for this are straightforward and generally effective.

Beyond that, the obsession with this issue is weird. It's not your job to enforce rules on VRC. A nebulous concern for someone, somewhere, *maybe* breaking the rules seems petty and ego driven. The obsession speaks more for a need for punitive vengeance than a real concern for the community.

When you or somebody very close to you has a kid, you will understand.

Caring for kids and their safety comes from love and respect, not from ego. Its sad to see so much people struggling with such simple life reality in the Vr community.

Oh please. I am a trained mandatory reporter. I have worked in child care and education for decades. I have worked with CPS and the foster care system. I've seen things no amount of self-congratulatory steam awards could help you forget.

"I'm here to save the children" is the most hollow and egotistical thing you could possibly say. In fact, Mr Caulfield, it is the only thing you've said. You are too busy patting yourself on the back and engaging in hyper-dramatic demagoguery to actually address any of my points and hold a conversation.

Your best option is to continue muting and blocking....anyway, if by divine grace, some "vrchat mod" takes a look at it, you can choose 2 different "reports":
Report user > behavior (if their behavior is really annoying) or Avatar (if they go around with some NSFW or something to provoke).

But as I said the best choice is to mutate them or block them.

Same as above, vrchat rarely moderates stuff like this, same thing with people going after them, they tend to ignore it and hinder it, best bet is to block and move on right now sadly.

Or (if you can find some people) get a group together and a selection of Worlds you can do stuff in. Then put those on Friends+ and you should be able to go around 90% of them. And for public lobbies you kinda just have to grow a Pair and ignore them, or block them. A block is only 3 button clicks away and worth it.

It's funny they added an option to report people for clients, but not one for blatantly underaged users.
