looking for deaf community in VRchat
I just want to know how can I find them on a server, just fear of my Social Anxiety, I don't know if this vrchat could be helpful to make me feel better and more comfortable from socializing to chat and making new friends, stuff. I don't want myself to be alone with it forever and ever in my life.
FYI I am not trying to be desperate for that. I want myself to beat own my fear as long as I can have to try my best.

However I don't think you will have much problems in most lobbies either.
Just pick a lobby that has a small amount of people for starters, if someone talks to ya, you can answer by (In VR) moving your hands and body to do thumbs up, gestures etc to answer them.
If you are on keyboard then you can press R and open up a wheel of emotes etc to show how you are.
Once you feel comfortable hanging around someone, you can usually meet them in a private lobby or friends only lobby to talk to them.

SleeprunnerInc replied to looking for deaf community in VRchat February 1, 2022 @ 9:24:04 pm PSTThere are avatars that have drawing tools, even a text input over their heads. HEY! I am deaf too!!! but deaf have a struggle including me, Vrchat should give us like we can use like a text or a chat
You can use text to speech and a lot of other things.
That's the beauty of VR chat, you can make it yourself and import it or ask around if anyone has one of those avatars.

If you are creative, you have hundred of posibilities to communicate without talking.
Of course, voice will always be the best bet for a complete and deep communication.
