why cant u just open a avatar in unity and edit its colors and the 3d objects between the joints and then just make the joitns follow the Kinect skeleton from azure Kinect

then u just save the avatar as an avatar file and then when u go into vr chat u just say "pick avatar" and pick the one u just made from the template

none of it works! im not going to use Kinect v2 because it is a security vulnerabiltuiyt

and im not using older versions of unity because it says "Warning there are secuiruty risks if u open this project in a older version of unity"

its not even that its an unverified, newly released .exe or other binary they always tell u "be careful wat exe files you run"

it puts compilers and debuggers and all the tools hackermane could want rite on the C:\ drive with admin privileges ; and these powerful utilities are 5 yr old . this 2019 software isn't even vaccinated because the vaccine wasn't even fully developed for years afterward .

doesnt matter, the dev's use %version% thasts LTS and they strip out your ability to use features they dont want you to use for "reasons" (thus the sdk) thats why if you upload an avatar with the "latest and greatest" version your avatar will not be visible in vrc.
