Oculus question

I'm playing with virtual desktop and I'm having issues with avatars not having any hand movements. I can't point or even give a thumbs up anymore, I'm trying to figure out if it's a vrchat thing or something on my end I need to look into.

You'll need to go back to your home or restart.

Thanks for the response but I've had this issue during multiple attempts to play. This being full restarts PC/Oculus and everything with the problem still happening.

It depends on the avatar.
Some avatars have no finger movements.
Try this on multiple avatars.

Yeah, I've tried a few and the ones I used first were my saved favorites that worked before. Then I just went to random avatar worlds trying some with all the same issues. Even the standard vrchat ones. I'm going to give it a fresh install and see what happens soon.

Verifying caches should tell if anythings corrupted.
If nothing works after a fresh install then it's an issue with yer controllers.

You might wanna check if this is an issue with your controllers in general. Just launch another VR application and see if everything works

The controllers are 100% fine. This issue only happens in vrchat.

Sounds like you have gestures disabled, or disabled them accidentally. Open the action menu (the one that appears when you press and hold the menu button) then navigate to options, and then enable gestures.

This fixed it. Thank you. I had no idea how or when it got turned off

I had something similar happen where one of my avatars hands stopped taking touch inputs and could only move around. I couldn't even open the quick launch tool off that controller but could off the other hand. Taking out the batteries and putting them back in fixed it for me.
