you can easily assume that it's all staged fights and all of those t-34 was produced post war which means they were build according to standarts and they were good according to said standarts

If this game was remotely accurate, King Tiger UFPs would fall off from sustained fire, Panthers would splinter apart from heavy HE shells, and AP ammo wouldn't be worthless.

'Tis a vidya game. All vehicles are practically tailored to their best possible paper sheet values. The hard factors are exemplified, the soft factors are next to ignored.

Watched and loved that video. But yeah, the game doesn't accurately represent any tank. Wouldn't make great gameplay for the tank to break down, the crew to pass out, etc., every 5 minutes

I'd so love for this to be the case.

I wholeheartedly disagree, but I'm sure I'm in the minority.

Wont ever happen because that cant be modeled by Gaijin.

You are in a extreme minority there then, because nobody would have fun in their sluggish and slow heavy tank to suddenly have a 1min repair time because the gearbox died.

This would be totally fine if there wasnt the fact that king tigers had to face cold war t54 tanks and other stuff with missiles constantly, the AB mode is very fitting if you want to describe war thunder in a short term.

In short: War Thunder is a vehicle combat game - all vehicles perform as designed (or as close to it as possible).

Things like welding quality, transmission quality, crew mentality, etc. are not modelled.

Otherwise we'd have Me 163s detonating on the runways, tank crews bailing after one penetrating round, tanks running out of fuel, breaking down, etc. and that really just distracts for the main combat of the game.

Just fly the thing in WT, no need to imagine.

Sometimes reality is the best comedy.

Hey now.

1 minute to repair the gearbox is also totally unrealistic.

...realistic would often be hours, or a tow to a depot and hours or days there.

Realism would be the crew abandoning the tank and coming back afterwards if they win to try to scavenge it. Depending on the country, it'd take hours, days, or never to repair the vehicle due to parts, etc.

10/10 would play again
