An angry mob doesnt acually want to play the vehicles to earn SL and RP. They just want everything for free instead and are now crying.

Counter to what the dude above has said. The community has decided that they don't want to put up with Gajins economy breaking changes anymore.

The latest issue started with the May update. It would've increased repair costs for some vehicles, raised them for others, but pretty broadly slashed RP/SL rates for vehicles. So if you were struggling to break even, with or without premium, you were gonna be worse off overall.

Then players decided enough was enough and began to speak out and leave negative reviews, prompting Gajin to:
- Reverse the update
- Release a tone deaf post basically stating "Our stats and algorithm know best, you guys just don't see it yet."
- Release another tone deaf post by the creative director stating that players can't be given everything too fast, or they'll quit, and that Gajin needs this for money.
- Then taking down the Steam icon from their website
- Then interviewing/leaving comments on news blogs basically saying its the players faults and making them sound like the victims.
- Before ultimately doing what they always do, and delaying any changes for months while they "revisit the economy.'

TLDR: Gajin continues to nerf the economy to the point players are fed up with it, and then say it is the players fault and promise to revisit it later.

They probably won't make meaningful changes, we will likely get another fixed poll with two bad options.

If this game dies is because Gaijin prefer to kill it before making it enjoyable for the players, so it would be an acceptable loss (but it's not happening)

Long story short, they wanted to nerf the players income once again, this time in a very aggressive way, if you want a brutal example, they wanted to bring a 70€ premium plane SL multiplier down to a 30€ level one, so just imagine the tech tree vehicles situation if they wanted to do that with premiums..

And the community simply had enough of years and years of the company lack of respect towards them, since all the feedback regarding the game's economy has been ignored

So after all, the community stood againts Gaijin, and while most of it would have prefered the polite and calmed approach, it's been proven this current method of constructive violence actually is the only one that worked at making the devs to listen

Actually the general consensus over the revoked changes was a positive for player over all. People who actually reviewed the changes noticed repair costs coming down.
As a Naval main the reduction in repair out weighed the slight reduction in rewards. (when a ship has a 500% modifier reducing the repair cost is more gain then the 2% reduction in battle rewards)
It was a very select group that had the changes revoked.

DUDE YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM, but here just a short list of what came to mind,

the daily x2 bonus which used to be x5 has been completely removed and they have significantly reduced the rewards on multiple occasions
the mission duration has been reduced from 55 minutes to a maximum of 25 minutes
points are no longer awarded for taking off/landing
oints are no longer given for engaging in combat or dogfights with enemies in your vicinity
gains from victories have been decreased by around 20% and losses have been increased by 20%
gold rewards for completing tutorials have been removed along with gold wagers
sim rewards have been significantly reduced
rewards linked to activity in battle have been dimminished helicopter enduring confrontation (ec) mode has been ruined making it even harder to progress vehicles overall have become harder to obtain
the cap point scores are now divided between the people capturing it it it used to be that the time spent in the point is actually the amount you get meaning if you are the first you get the most.

also added a soft lock to how much gains you could make in a single mission
the battle passes have 3 vehicles instead of 4 bc why should we reward the player right?

rp and sl boosters have an end date best before date because we all know digital stuff can go bad right ... Wagers got also nerverd

overall bots problem never resolved or acted on removed apfsds as starter shell
introducing "realshatter" that pretty much broke all small-caliber cannons

oh and also for those who just got into war thunder FEAR NOOOT the snail got you covered

removing low-tier prizes from the summer event
making assault arcade more difficult and never addressing the broken ai
neglected and broken singleeplayer campaigns yet they still sell them XD

Almost (if not 100k) negative reviews paints a very different picture than a select group of players. Most of the time when I check recent reviews at a glance, it is players with hundreds of hours on the game, if not thousands.

I'm happy players finally got wise to Gajin pushing worse changes onto them, otherwise we'd be in a case where players would think they were getting more, when they were getting less.

I think the point is that a select group got the ball rolling and it snowballed into this, because it does make me wonder how many actually looked for themselves or took it at face value.

You gotta love how people are out here acting like they are fighting for civil rights (in a video game) all while the real world could use actual change.

Priorities....

Change got to start some place, but your point is valid, if only people fought poverty with this zeal we would be alright.

Every year the Government and special organizations dump billions into poverty and things like homelessness. Strangely neither have been solved by dumping money onto them.
People do not devolve into poverty and it is not money that elevates them out of it.
Most Americans living in poverty own a car, cell phones, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves
have internet and gaming consoles or computers. what they don't have are jobs with a decent wage because they cannot read or do basic math.

How does this translate in to War Thunder issues. Most of the players suffering have no clue what a backup is. Think rewards are based solely on kill to death ratios. Are convinced using a booster curses you. Think the match maker makes teams so certain people will win and others lose in advance. Most don't even bother to read their mission objectives.
