If the in-game gamma is set to default than this has more to do with your graphics card or display. If you have Nvidia Control panel or the equivalent for your graphics card trying tweaking the gamma ..

You have a bad hdd or a bad sata port on the motherboard. Try plugging it into a different port.

I've tried running a disk check and it says that everything is fine but I still can't install the gameand i have a 2TB hard drive btw

External hdd? It is a hardware problem, not the game. Plus the fact that the game won't really be playable on an external hdd.

Its like how the game says it works for mac compatible. Not anymore. Was mac compatible when it just came out... But then game got too big Mac can't even start the game.

since the last DLC failcard have put more bugs and game breaking things into ark, and its a joke, they havent even fixed some of the issues from ALPHA !
