I kind of feel like they didn't mean to leave them in at all. Not only do I expect not to see a taming alternative, I fully expect one of the next updates to the map completely remove basilisks.

Yeah that is very true. I know they have basilisks though because I saw one, although I can't see the sense of why they put them in them in if you don't have the rock drake egg to tame them with.

I've got a similar issue and crash log on Crystal Isles, but it crashes while loading in. The day before the issue started I had been breeding Tropeognathus, but everything was fully grown at the time..

Map is utter rubbish. Floating terrain features everywhere, areas you can drop in to and not get out of, and chunks that render in then vanish at random.
