Read-only is what I do for single player mode. It's a little annoying when you do actually want to make a change, but better than the alternative.

It sounds like you have bigger problems then that. Verifying files will ALWAYS find at least 2 files that need replacing due to those files always being updated and pretty much never matching what is ..

I wouldn't recommend putting data on another drive. Ark CAN do it with symbolic links, but it gets really messy if you need to reinstall or move things around.I'd just recommend investing in a 500 GB ..

You need to have a sizeable storage. At this time I have 3 DLC maps (Ragnarok, Valguero and Crystal siles) and my folder size is a little over 200GB.

Download is compressed to ~35gigs, the installed game is ~110gigs. If you start added dlc maps and workshop content, it can easily reach 300gb so be careful of storage space or you'll run into update ..

I played it solo on ps4 for days straight and HAD to buy it for my PC because of the better graphics and all. It's so addicting and fun.

i only ply the game solo and i enjoy it a lot. but remenber to change some settings to fit your playstyle in singleplayer.

Ark is a good survival game. You can join servers that provide offline raid protection. Avoid official servers like the plague. My advice would be to play single player for a while to learn the game

I just uploaded my character and dino on the red obelisk of the island in i was trying to go to Ragnarok map but the only spawn points i saw was the beds i left on the island and no map change setting..

When you start the new map in the bottom Right it should say either download or import survivor. Thats how you load your uploaded survivor you uploaded into the Obelisk.
