Hello, after taking a long break (i stopped last year before the Asgard patch) i'm finally considering coming back, with all the new stuff and heroes to look forward. It's often a complicated step in most games but here it seems even worse considering all the changes that happened... So here i come seeking a bit of help :)

I used to play Jean/Emma/Storm (60 with cosmics) mostly, but after a quick glance they're totally changed and i'm not sure i'll even like them now. I think starting a new character to learn the game mechanics again sounds like a good plan but... i just can't get a grasp of "who is what". I mean, reading the forums it seems only dps matters now for most heroes, is there still some room for odd builds/utility builds/tanky builds ? I fear raiding put an end to that, at least when it comes to the popular builds i checked.

Is there any place with a list of heroes and the effective roles/builds they have ?

I'm looking mostly for an aoe tanky character (i really liked the old Jean, charging through hordes of mobs with auras, health regen and defense to survive and tank most stuff just fine), something that works with few gear requirements... and that brings the other source of confusion: gear.

I have no idea what to do again, if i should focus on an existing 60 character to run some dailies or important missions, or if starting all over is fine anyway. I think i got the team-up hero concept, but Omega levels seem a bit beyond me, as well as the new currencies and stuff that rained on me upon logging in as gift boxes, remote missions and whatever.

Or maybe there's a "returning player guide" somewhere i missed, anyway i'd appreciate any input on what i should do for the first few days to help me catch up, after reading stuff for 3 hours i'm about as lost as before anyway and already tired of that, lol. Thanks in advance ! :)
