The crafting ingredients are in need of a huge overall especially when it comes to costume affixes, which are their primary purpose.

the analogy I draw, would be if universal studios (or any amusement park) required a brick to get on a ride. you can get the bricks for free at the entrance to the park and find chunks on the ground that add up to a whole brick, but if you want to enjoy 20 rides in the park you'll probably need to walk back to the entrance. a lot! unless you don't mind lugging around 20 bricks... and since piecing together a full brick from all the chunks would take longer than just getting a full brick...

so you see, with this example, I'm not looking to improve carrying, collecting or (de)assembling the bricks - that is missing the point. why require bricks if they are so abundant, essentially free and just a hassle to use/carry around. just get rid of the bricks - you still need to stand in line (credits) or completely rethink crafting ingredients.

one suggestion to rethinking them is make them similar to pettech. use credits only to reroll the affix, but once settled on the affix you want, begin donating ingredients "vacuum" to reroll the value similar to pets (each costume tier uses a different ingredient and the "vacuum" does the math on the different level of ingredients (pures count as more when vacuumed up). this way you can quickly get the affix type you want, then through normal play continue to try and perfect the roll - instead of how it is now, where you spend all your time sitting at a crafter... and no more picking up/splitting/combining crafting ingredients... Also not sure how many different ingredients there are, but make an affix for each one...

I would also recommend the slight change to pettech while at it (credits to reroll the type of affix you want, donations to reroll the value). double RNG is miserable, increase the cost if necessary to offset (higher credits and higher donations)...
